Trade Bait

As the trade deadline nears I am going to give you a few players to watch or go ahead and pick up if you need some help.

First off, with BJ Upton on the block, Desmond Jennings is a MUST add. Jennings is broken from the same mold as Carl Crawford, and as advertised, has filled up the stat sheet after getting the call to the bigs. He will be a perfect fit for Joe Madden's type of baseball. The great thing about Madden is he lets his guys play. Jennings will run every chance he gets and he can run like a reyhound chasin a rabbit at the dog track, so if you need to swipe a few bags,  his could be your fantasy savior.

Mike Adams-Key is if Heath Bell gets traded (probable) and Mike Adams stays put in SD. Still worth the gamble if league puts a premium on Saves. This guy has filthy stuff and has been molded into the closer role for the Padres over the last few months.

In a deep league looking for average, runs and possible RBI's I like Jeff Keppinger, the former dawgs product should produce big time in the bay. He is not going to hit many Bombs but throw in a couple of double and triples and will really benefit hitting either in front of Beltran, Pablo and Huff r in the 6/7 hole trying to drive those guys in. He had a great year in Cincy in 2007 before an injury derailed him for the remainder of that season I look for him to be a valuable everyday player and possibly have some big moments with the Giants.

Colby Rasmus will benefit as well in the new role in Toronto. A great hitters park and with the likes of Bautista and Lind he should see plenty of pitches on a platter. The question is can he handle the NL East staffs of Boston, Tampa and NY? He should feast on Baltimore, but C.C. and Mr. Lester

could be 0-for city for Colby.

If Carlos Quinton makes the transition to the Braves the team who gets him's offense will no doubt benefit. He would help the likes of Dan Uggla and Jason Heyward possibly giving them more AB's with runners on.

Hunter Pence-Trade has already gon down and the Fighting Phils have proclaimed themselves as champs.  Let me first say that yes Hunter Pence is a good player but there is reason that teams were not giving up their top prospects.  He is a quirky outfielder with rawness all over, does nothing pretty but gets the job done.  But how will he fair in the NL East is a good question.  Number will be about the same as Minute Maid Park and Citizens Bank Park play about the same.  But when he goes to Atlanta and New York the parks get bigger and the pitching gets better.  I think Pence will help the Phils but I think he will help the likes of Utley, Howard and J Roll more than he will help himself. 

Edwin Jackson could benefit greatly in the NL. Facing 8 batters a night may be the difference maker. Keep an eye on him as he has great stuff, but seems to have trouble harnessing it. Had a good opening start last night as he shoved it vs. division rival Cubbies.

Players that it will hurt-

Fernando Salas-It looks like the Cards are shopping hard for Heath Bell if they acquire him, Mr. Salas welcome back to the set up role.

Carlos Lee-With Pence gone who is he going to drive in? El Cabello will be a nonfactor in fantasy land.

Daily Picks

This segment is going to give you guys some quick insight who to pick up for today's game or the next day games. Look in the right hand column and you will see Pick to Click and Hidden Gems.  If you need a solid stick in the line up then pick this guy up.  He WILL produce and give your team a boost for a day or so.  If you are running low on pitchers or if the other guys team is just having a carreer week on the bump (which is the only chance you have to beat us) then throw these guys.  We will try to provide a pick from each of us, one in deeper leagues and one in shallow leagues.

So if you are in doubt and have no clue what to do, do the best thing and put the trust in us, we will provide you with the success you need to get your squad to the promise land!

Opening Act

Gotta start somewhere. So we will open up by telling you about the avid sports' fans we are and letting you know how much you can learn from us. Luke and I played college baseball at Francis Marion (Moron) University, but enjoy and know the most about the 3 major sports. Obviously our specialty is baseball, and naturally we've run every fantasy baseball league we've signed up for....we like to compare it to taking candy from a baby....and we'll be glad to assist you in taking "candy". We will do the homework for you and use our "can't teach it" instincts to give you hitters you better get in your lineups and pitchers you should put on the bump for your fantasy teams throughout the week while you play chumps that wish they had the same info. All you have to do is listen and follow directions, and you'll be dancin in the promised land. It's that easy. We are rediculously good.... After we get the blog started and give some of our (brilliant) insight we would love to hear from our followers to answer any questions you may have or listen to your opinions and thoughts that you may have. Although we are great and you WILL win your fantasy title....we are human (though we rarely show it) and there will be an 0-for or two....and there will be a pitcher that gives up a run (probably not earned). When this happens we'd love to hear from the people that think they know more than us.....bottom line is, if you like taking cash and bragging rights from your buddies, become a regular follower and you can talk sh*t without worrying about whether you can back it up or not.....we will back it up
